Anaerobic coverage for pneumonia is not required unless there is an {{c1::empyema}}, {{c1::lung abscess}}, or {{c1::post-obstructive pneumonia}}

Notes

Pts w CAP requiring hospitalization can get standard inpatient regimens, regardless of documented aspiration
NOTE: Aspirations do NOT require anaerobe coverage!!!
