In {{c1::Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (nTOS)}}, {{c2::neck rotation}}, {{c2::head tilting}}, {{c2::arm abduction}}, and {{c2::arm external}} rotation may provoke symptoms in some Pts (who are typically young, active, thin females w/ repetitive overhead stressors to an upper extremity). {{c1::Electrodiagnostic}} studies are {{c3::frequently normal}}.
Notes
Note 1: 2/2 brachial plexus nerve roots compression in neck interscalene triangle (bordered by anterior and middle scalene muscles and the first rib).
Note 2: Presents w/ nonradicular and anatomically widespread Sx (numbness, paresthesia, and pain) affecting arm, neck, and shoulder. Atrophic weakness of hand and arm muscles can occur as a late manifestation.
