{{c1::Arterial TOS (aTOS)}} is caused by {{c2::subclavian artery compression}} (w/wo {{c2::thrombosis}}); it usually occurs in the presence of {{c2::an anomalous cervical rib}}.

Sx include arm or hand {{c3::pain}} (which may be {{c3::exertional}}), {{c3::weakness}}, {{c3::paresthesia}}, {{c3::coolness}}, and {{c3::pallor}}.

Note: Pts may have BP discrepancies b/n arms or ↓pulses in affected extremity. A bruit may be auscultated over the ipsilateral subclavian artery.
