Testing after BBF exposure of SOURCE patient

Source patient: testing should be done immediately
◦ HIV fourth generation test: HIV-1/HIV-2 antigen and antibody
▪ HBs antigen (may add HBe antigen although HBe antigen is a marker
for high HBV replication and viral load, testing for HBe antigen is not
practical and not recommended)
◦ HCV antibody and HCV RNA within 48 hours
◦ HIV fourth generation test: HIV-1/HIV-2 antigen and antibody
