Associated with poor medication compliance, underdosage, anxiety, illicit
drug usage, alpha adrenergics
▪ Subcutaneous epinephrine (alpha and beta adrenergic stimulation)
induces vasoconstriction and lower vascular resistance  in
patients on beta-blockers, epinephrine may induce unopposed
vasoconstriction  in theory, result in severe hypertension and reflex
bradycardia
