  1. cat expells sporulated oocyst into environment
  2. taken in by intermediate host and the sporozoites released invade the gut cells, forming tachzyzoites
  3. tachyzoites multiply rapidly and are able to be transported all over the body
  4. after immune response is triggered, cysts are formed, leaving IH infected for life
  5. FH is infected by ingesting tissue infected with cysts
  6. cysts release bradyzoites that invade the gut epithelial cells, undergoing asexual repro
  7. sexual phase then occurs and oocysts are then formed to later be shed in feces
