Control amount of light entering the eyeball
Extra
The Pupil is the central aperture of the iris. It has the ability to change diameter, controlling the amount of light entering the eyeball. The pupil size is controlled by the contractions of the circular (sphincter pupillae) and radial (dilator pupillae) muscle in the iris in response to light changes. This is really important to understand because of the importance of testing pupillary light reflexes in clinical practice.
