Naloxone has a {{c1::shorter::longer/shorter}} half-life than most commonly used opioids.
Extra
You administer 40mcg naloxone on a hypoventilating patient because you suspect opioid-induced respiratory depression. They promptly begin breathing at an acceptable respiratory rate so you discharge from the PACU. Why was this bad?

Naloxone has a short half life (30-90 minutes) and the patient may develop respiratory depression once it wears off.

Flumazenil (benzodiazepine reversal) has a similar concern as its half life is only ~10-15 minutes with first bolus.
