Following a meal:
[1] Wave of {{c1::peristaltic contraction (Mass Movement Contraction)}} from colon to rectum
[2] Distension of rectum causes {{c1::defaecation reflex}}, via mechanoreceptors, which elicits an urge to defaecate.
