With regards to squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) of the larynx. Define the following entities and describe their clinical significance: (5 - subparts given)

Definition – Red velvety eroded lesion in the mucosa.
Natural history - 30-50% progress to invasive carcinoma. These lesions should be resected
due to high risk of malignant transformation
Clinical significant - Usually represents squamous dysplasia, carcinoma in situ or invasive
carcinoma
