Duodenal ulcers are almost always due to {{c1::H. pylori}} (~ 90%)
Extra
- H pylori like to infect the antrum, and thus inflame somatostatin producing cells

- without somatostatin gastrin production is unimpeded, and high gastric acidity washes into the duodenum overwhelming bicarb and causing ulcers
