Chronic HBV infection will have {{c1::HBsAg* and anti-HBc IgG::2 serologic markers}}, while resolved HBV infection will have {{c1::anti-HBs IgG and anti-HBc IgG::2 serologic markers}}

main difference is in whether you have HBsAg or anti-HBsAg

*in chronic infection, HBeAg is also positive for a while, but after several months, HBeAg will eventually become negative in chronic infection due to development of anti-HBe IgG. This will only limit replication to a low level, not control it completely
