Give the equation for the force of friction on an object that sits on an inclined plane:

{{c1::}}
Extra
Force of friction is the coefficient of friction × the normal force. The normal force is equal to m*g*cos(θ), which is the perpendicular force of gravity pulling it down.

The parallel force of gravity is m*g*sin(θ), which is the force pulling it down the slope, or not if the static coefficient is greater!

Remember friction opposes motion!
