All women and men age >= 65 yo
Menopausal women, 50-64, with any clinical risk factors for fracture:
Menopausal women, 50-64, with any clinical risk factors for fracture:
- Fragility # > 40 yo
- Prolonged glucocorticoid use (>= 3 mo of >= 7.5 mg daily)
- High risk med use e.g. aromatase inhibitors, androgen dep therapy
- Parental hip #
- Vertebral # or osteopenia on GR
- Current smoking
- High EtOH intake
- Low body weight (< 60 kg) or major weight loss (>10% of weight at age 25)
- RA
- Other disorders strongly associated with osteoporosis, including: primary hyperparathyroidism, T1DM, osteogenesis imperfecta, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, hypogonadism, premature menopause (< 45 yo), Cushing disease, chronic malnutrition or malabsorption, chronic liver disease, COPD, chronic inflammatory conditions (e.g. IBD)
