Pros
− Less stimulating than Oral Airway once successfully placed
− Can take the patient to recovery with a Nasal Trumpet in place, and the patient will tolerate this generally well
Cons
− Can cause nasal epitaxis—especially in elderly or those pre-disposed to bleeding (patients on anticoagulation or withfriable tissues)
− Caution using nasal trumpets in patient (type of surgery or trauma
