In {{c1::clathrin mediated}} endocytosis, the {{c2::clathrin coat}} is assembled on the {{c3::cytoplasmic face}} of the plasma membrane, which forms {{c4::pits}} that then {{c5::invaginate}} to {{c6::pinch off}} and become free {{c7::clathrin coated vesicles}}, or CVVs.
