Seratonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor
Mechanism: inhibits serotonin transporter, serotonin type 2 receptor, histamine and alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. Induces significant changes in 5-HT presynaptic adrenoreceptors.
Indications: MDD. (Off label: sleep, anxiety, Alzheimer disease, substance use, bulimia, fibromyalgia, PTSD, OSA)
S/e: Headaches, fatigue, lightheadedness, somnolence
