Baron Carl von Rokitansky was a Bohemian physician, pathologist, humanist philosopher, and liberal politician. His name is also in the Mullerian agenesis eponym (Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome). He was born in 1804 and died in 1878.
Ludwig Aschoff was a German physician and pathologist. He is regared as the most important German pathologist after Rudolf Virchow. He died in 1942.
