Lynch {{c1::I}} syndrome only has increased colon cancer risk
Extra
Named after Henry Thompson Lynch, an American physician who was a professor of medicine at Creighton University SOM in Omaha, Nebraska who described the syndrome in 1966. Lynch himself named the syndrome "hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer" (HNPCC). However, this name fell out of favor due to the fact that some patients with it can have polyps. Lynch is sometimes described as the father of hereditary cancer detection and prevention. He was born in 1928 and died in 2019.
