Fields:
Front
Describe the error-reducing features of DNA
polymerization
Back
- Tautomerization occurs when error is
made -> creates a bulging base pair --> when polymerase comes in to add next base
pair it notices wrong angle prohibiting it from adding next one
- DNA Polymerase uses backwards
exonuclease (3’ -> 5’) and
chews up covalent bond, release wrong base, and restarts
