Origin (proximal):
The 4 dorsal interosseous muscles are bipennate.
They arise by 2 heads from adjacent sides of the metacarpal bones.
Insertion
Insertion (distal):
Extensor expansion over First Phalanx of Finger II-IV on one side opposite midaxis of hand (Finger III)
On both sides of Finger III

Innervation
Innervation:
Deep palmar branch of the ulnar nerve (C8 and T1).
