The {{c2::increased}} permeability of the vessel walls
of the capillaries and venules lasts for several
hours to several days and is usually
accompanied by leakage of fluid from the
vessels into the interstitial spaces.
• This process is called “{{c1::Transudation}}” and
typically accounts for the formation of Edema,
which is rich in protein, but contains few cells {{c2::(low specific gravity)}}
