What happens at puberty?

Puberty: ovarian hormones, estrogens to help duct development. Progesterone, will help create secretory units/tissues. At the moment they are just fat cells.

Glucocorticoids & growth hormone= also help with duct development in puberty (but not ovarian hormones)

1st pregnancy.

The secretory units of the mammary gland
If placenta is there it influences the mammary gland in that the fat cells get replaced with functional cells, and then the functional cells proliferate.
