{{c1::Pacemaker cells}} spontaneously fire action potentials; the {{c2::funny current}} allows sodium to enter cell causing depolarization, this process is followed by opening of {{c3::calcium channels}} allowing {{c2::inward}} flow of calcium causing further depolarization until action potential is reached. The opening of {{c3::potassium channel}} causes the outward flow of potassium allowing for {{c2::repolarization}} and restoring resting potential of -60mV inside cell.
