Glucocorticoid replacement (PO hydrocortisone)

+/- Mineralocorticoid replacement (only for 1°)

Stress dose steroids during sick days and physiological stress (e.g. surgery)

Check and replace other pituitary hormones (for 2°)

- Replace cortisol before thyroxine

Correct hypoglycemia

Treat hyperK

Invx and treat underlying precipitant

Sick day advice:

- Do NOT stop/omit steroids

- Increase dose temporarily when sick or undergoing surgery etc.

- If unable to tolerate orally, seek medical attention for IV steroids
