Structures of the large intestine:
- The cecum is {{c1::a blind intestinal pouch}}
- Ileocecal valve is not a {{c1::sphincter}}, but a {{c1::poorly develoiped circular muscle}} seen as papilla on the cecal side
- The appendix is a {{c1::blind intestinal diverticulum}} coming off {{c1::the cecum}}
- Haustra are {{c1::pouches along the large intestine}} due to {{c1::contractions of teniae coli}}
