There are two cell types in the seminiferous epithelium. The {{c1::sustentacular (sertoli) cells}}' purpose is to {{c2::support the spermatocytes}} and form the {{c2::blood-testis barrier}}. The {{c1::spermatogonia}} act as {{c2::stem cells for future spermatozoa}}.
