1. Blood accumulation {{c4::beneath}} or {{c4::dissecting}} the {{c4::decidua}}. 
2. {{c2::Compression}} of the {{c3::overlying villi (-> villous crowding, congestion, and/or intravilloushemorrhage)}}.
3. +/-  {{c1::hemosiderin}} deposition
