Efficacy is a measure of the ability of the occupied receptor to trigger ST events that leads to a biological response (“lock and key” model).
With this model:
The {{c1::agonist}} fits perfectly and causes ST → BR
The {{c1::partial agonist}} kind of fits and is still able to somewhat cause ST → BR
The {{c1::anatagonist}} is not a match and doesn’t activate ST so no BR, but yet it’s still taking up a spot
