  • Cholesterol- help maintain cell membrane and serve as precursor for steroid hormones, vitamin D, bile acids, etc. 
  • Phospholipids- constituents of cell membranes, constituents of lipoproteins, needed in coagulation, and serve a component of myelin in the CNS
