Signs in Comatose Pt:
- {{c1::Decorticate rigidity}}: This is a posturing response to noxious stimuli in which the arms are flexed and adducted, and the legs are extended. This suggests a lesion above the midbrain level.
- {{c2::Hemiplegia}}: This is weakness or paralysis of one side of the body. It suggests a lesion in the contralateral hemisphere or corticospinal tract.
- {{c3::Decerebrate rigidity}}: This is a posturing response to noxious stimuli in which the arms and legs are extended and the hands are pronated. This suggests a lesion in the midbrain or pons.
